This is more catching up on Inktober, for day twelve, where the prompt was, “shattered.” After putting some thought into it, I remembered the time in the 2012 NLCS series between the Giants and the Cardinals when Hunter Pence hit the ball not once, not twice, but three times in the same swing, when his bat shattered and the barrel head of the bat hit the ball an additional two times after initial contact. Man, the playoffs sure seem hollow this year without the Giants….
